A word from the N-SHOES team

We wish you work that pays off and harvests worth the effort you put in.

Good health and steady strength, sharp ideas and successful sowing, fair conditions for productive work and the mood that makes life good.

May the machinery hold up, the weather keep its promise, and the land return your labour many times over.

When it falls

The date moves every year and lands on the third Sunday of November. In 2026 that is 15 November. The timing follows the field calendar: by mid-November the main harvest is stored and machinery goes into winter service.

History

From a Soviet decree to an independent tradition

Three dates that shaped today's Agricultural Workers' Day of Ukraine.

1988

Third Sunday of November

The date was fixed to follow the end of the main field season. The logic still holds: harvest first, celebration after.

7 October 1993

Decree No. 428/93

President Leonid Kravchuk signed the decree "On the Day of Agricultural Workers" in support of an initiative from the agro-industrial sector. The document remains in force.

2026

15 November

The holiday long outgrew its collective-farm origins. Regional authorities hand out state awards, agri-holdings close the season, and the sector keeps the country fed through the war.

Who is honoured

Wider than it looks

The decree covers far more than people in the field. It includes processors of farm produce, the food industry, procurement, water management and service companies across the agro-industrial complex.

  • Agronomists
  • Machine operators
  • Combine drivers
  • Livestock specialists
  • Veterinarians
  • Farmers
  • Grain elevator staff
  • Dryer operators
  • Dairy farms
  • Sugar plants
  • Oilseed crushing plants
  • Plant breeders
  • Agricultural engineers
  • Irrigation specialists
  • Grain logistics
  • Quality lab technicians
Figures and records

The weight of Ukrainian agriculture

Data from the State Customs Service, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Institute of Agrarian Economics.

106 mtAll-time record harvest of grain, pulses and oilseeds, set in 2021 before the full-scale invasion.
8.71 t/haHighest yield of that record season, achieved in Khmelnytskyi region.
60 %Share of agri-food products in Ukraine's exports during the first half of 2026.
17.5 %Contribution of the agri-food sector to national GDP.

Top regions of the record year

  • Vinnytsia region: 6.7 mt of grain
  • Chernihiv region: 6.2 mt
  • Poltava region: 5.7 mt
  • Odesa region: 5.2 mt

For comparison, the drought year of 2020 produced 84.2 mt, while the 2025/26 marketing year closed at 61.04 mt of grain and pulses.

Money and markets

  • USD 12.59 billion in agri-food exports over six months of 2026, up 11 % year on year
  • 56 % of national exports in 2025 came from the agri-food group
  • 43 % of agri exports still leave as raw commodities, so processing remains the sector's main reserve
  • Around 8 % of the world's chernozem reserves lie in Ukraine
Facts

Things worth knowing about the sector

The field went digital

As of 2025, 37 % of Ukrainian producers use satellite or drone crop monitoring and 23 % work with GIS tools. An agronomist now checks a tablet more often than the sky.

Older than most agri-holdings

The 1993 decree arrived during the era of collective farms. Over three decades the sector went through land privatisation, the rise of agri-holdings, the opening of the land market and the war, while the date stayed put.

The day starts before dawn

During harvest, combines run almost around the clock and elevators take grain in continuous shifts. Footwear in those conditions wears out in a season rather than a year.

Offer terms

-20% for agricultural workers

The offer applies to everyone working in farming, processing and the food industry, from a farmer to an elevator lab technician. Family members get the discount too.

Why buy now

November closes the autumn season and opens the winter one. Right now the full size range of mid-season models is still in stock and fur-lined winter styles have already arrived. By December sizes 37, 38, 41 and 42 sell out first.

We import from the Polish factories Rylko, Simen, Lonza and Nessi, produce our own N-SHOES Fabio line and stock Ukrainian brands.

Selection

What to wear once the field season ends

Rubber boots stay on the farm. Town, travel and the celebration itself call for something else.

Leather ankle boots

Thick sole, flannel lining, laces plus a side zip. They handle wet snow and road salt and clean up easily after a dirt track.

Fur-lined winter sneakers

Built for a day that covers a warehouse, a roadside cafe and an office. Warm down to minus ten and quick to put on.

Classic styles for the ceremony

Awards and certificates are handed out in November. Men's leather oxfords and women's loafers cover the formal look without paying for a logo.

Questions and answers

The holiday and your order, briefly

What date is Agricultural Workers' Day in 2026?

15 November 2026. The holiday falls on the third Sunday of November under Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 428/93 of 7 October 1993.

Is it a public holiday?

No. It is a professional holiday rather than a state day off. Since the date always lands on a Sunday, most agricultural workers celebrate on their regular weekend.

Does the discount stack with other promotions?

The -20% offer does not combine with other store promotions. Our manager will apply whichever option works out cheaper for you.

How do I choose a size online?

Every product page lists the insole length in centimetres. Measure your foot in the evening, add 5 mm and compare with the chart. Some models run small, and we flag that in the description.

Thank you for the harvest and the endurance

Bread on the table and oil in the bottle exist because someone went out to the field at four in the morning. N-SHOES gives those people -20% on all footwear.
