Buy Bona shoes: sneakers and boots in Kharkiv, Kyiv and across Ukraine
Bona is footwear for people who spend the whole day on their feet: an anatomical insole with arch support, a dense EVA midsole and a size range from 31 to 50. At N-SHOES you can buy original Bona sneakers, boots and trekking models with sizing based on foot length in centimetres — which is why the pair fits the first time.
What you can buy from Bona at N-SHOES
Air Mesh sneakers
A three-layer mesh with vertically oriented fibres: the outer layer holds the shape, the middle one handles ventilation, the inner one wicks moisture away. Made for the city, the gym and recreational running.
Split leather sneakers
A split leather upper with a polyurethane coating — it handles rain, stays soft in the cold and breaks in to the shape of your foot. The go-to pair for spring and autumn.
Fur- and fleece-lined boots
A high shaft and a deep lugged outsole that clears snow and mud on its own. Order them with 0.7–1.0 cm of extra room for a thick sock.
Nubuck trekking models
Nubuck is buffed full-grain leather: strong and good-looking, but it needs a protector spray. Built for hiking, fishing and outdoor work.
Footwear for large feet
Most brands stop at a 46. Bona tools separate soles up to size 50, with a wider last and denser foam to carry more weight.
Bona anatomical insoles
The same insole that comes inside the sneakers is sold separately — people move it into other shoes when they need arch support.
Bona size chart: how to get the size right
Bona measures shoes by insole length in centimetres (the Mondopoint system), not by a nominal "42". The chart runs about half a size off the European one: a Bona 44 sits closer to a 43.5–44 EU. So the only reliable reference is centimetres, not the number you usually wear.
Measure your foot in 4 steps
- Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against the wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe with a pencil (it is not always the big one).
- Measure the distance with a ruler, in centimetres.
- Add allowance: 0.5 cm for summer models and 0.7–1.0 cm for winter and trekking ones.
Measure in the evening: feet are 2–4 mm longer by the end of the day. If the left and right differ, go by the larger one.

Bona technology: what you are paying for
Anatomical insole with a heel stabiliser
A high-density EVA base shapes the profile under the longitudinal arch, polymer foam under the heel absorbs impact, and the antibacterial textile top stops the foot from sliding. The cupped heel stabilises the ankle and limits excessive pronation.
Densified EVA midsole
Closed-cell foam disperses impact energy. Bona deliberately runs a higher density: the pair weighs more than a carbon racing shoe, but the midsole packs out far more slowly.
Carbon rubber and TPR outsole
A compound built to resist abrasion on asphalt and concrete. Trekking models get an aggressive lugged pattern with deep sipes that push mud and snow out of the grooves.
Free Flexible and secure lockdown
Flex grooves in the forefoot line up with the metatarsophalangeal joints, so the calf spends less effort per step. Support bands running from the lacing to the sole hold the midfoot in place.
Which Bona to pick for the season
| Season | Model | Upper | Allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summer | Sneakers, low tops | Air Mesh, textile | +0.5 cm |
| Spring / autumn | Sneakers, low boots | PU-coated split, nubuck | +0.5–0.7 cm |
| Winter | Fur-lined boots | Split leather, nubuck | +0.7–1.0 cm |
| Hiking / work | Trekking boots | Nubuck + textile | +1.0 cm |
Care that actually extends the life of a pair
Do this
- Clean nubuck and split leather dry, with a crepe brush or eraser; use foam cleaner for heavy dirt.
- Reapply a water-repellent spray every 1–2 weeks through the season.
- Machine-wash textile models in a laundry bag at 30 °C with no spin cycle.
- Dry at room temperature, stuffed with paper.
- Wear the pair regularly: compression pushes moisture out of the midsole pores and slows foam hydrolysis.
Not this
- Do not wash nubuck with water — the nap mats down and the leather turns glossy.
- Do not dry on a radiator, heater or in direct sun: EVA hardens and leather cracks.
- Do not put shoes on without a shoehorn — that is exactly what wears through the heel lining.
- Do not leave winter boots unworn in a cupboard for a year: midsoles crumble from standing still, not from use.
- Do not lace up loosely: if the heel slips inside, the shoe wears out twice as fast.
Why buying Bona at N-SHOES pays off
Sizing in centimetres
Our manager asks for your foot length and what the pair is for, not "your usual size". That is the main reason Bona shoes bought here are rarely returned over fit.
Trading since 2009
N-SHOES is not a dropshipper: there is a physical store, branded packaging, tags and real stock on the shelf. Orders to Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa and Lviv ship the day they are paid for.
14-day exchange and return
If the size does not work out and the shoes are unworn and undamaged, we exchange them or refund you under the Law of Ukraine on Protection of Consumer Rights.
Frequently asked questions about Bona footwear
Is Bona footwear waterproof?
Most models are water resistant rather than waterproof: they handle rain, dew and wet snow, but not a long soak in a puddle. There is no membrane, which is exactly why your foot sweats less. Treat nubuck with a hydrophobic spray on top of that.
Does Bona run small or large?
The Bona chart sits about half a size off the European one, so comparing it with Nike or Reebok gets you nowhere. There is one method that works: measure the foot, add the allowance and match the result against the insole length on the product page.
Is Bona suitable for running?
For recreational running, fitness and long walks — yes, the dense EVA absorbs impact well. For racing the pair is on the heavy side (300–400 g) and the foam is not responsive enough for personal bests. This is a training shoe, not a competition one.
Why does a new pair smell?
Shoes are boxed straight off the line, so the smell of fresh adhesive and EVA stays inside. It is harmless and airs out within 24–48 hours on a balcony or in a ventilated room.
How long does a pair of Bona last?
Two to three seasons of daily wear with proper care. The usual causes of early failure are drying on a radiator, long storage without wear (foam hydrolysis) and a heel lining worn through from putting shoes on without a shoehorn.
Are there sizes above 46?
Yes, the Giants series covers 47–50 (insole 31.0–33.0 cm). The last is wider and the foam denser, because the range is built for heavier loads. Check availability of a specific size in the catalogue or with a manager.
