Wiesław Vojas, associated with the production of shoes for many generations, decided to make shoes under the brand name Wojas, thereby guaranteeing his name for the exceptional reliability of their production. In 1990, he hired a few people and opened his first showroom. Production in the first year of operation reached tens of thousands of pairs of shoes.

Fashionable design, the ability to read the changing preferences of customers and quickly respond to market changes, and most importantly, the highest quality of shoes produced, led to the rapid development of the company. In 1994, Wiesław Wojas decided to buy out part of the workshops of the liquidated metallurgical plant together with machines from the bankruptcy trustee NZPS Podhale. This allowed not only to dynamically increase production capacity, but also to save hundreds of jobs at risk - in just one year, employment in the company tripled.

In 1996, the Wojas Trade company was established, which took over the existing company stores and began to actively expand the network.

2007-2008 opened a completely new stage in the development of the company. First, ZPH Wojas was transformed into a joint-stock company, and in the spring of 2008 Wojas S.A. debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The acquired capital was directed to the expansion and recapitalization of the distribution network (in 3 years the number of stores almost doubled, reaching 120), the expansion of the production base and the development of the design department. In the same year, 100% of the shares of Wojas Slovakia were acquired, which increased the expansion into the market of our southern neighbor (currently the Slovak chain has 4 stores).

In 2009, the company began the expansion of the manufacturing plant, combined with the acquisition and implementation of a new shoe assembly system for injection molding, as well as the acquisition of new sewing assembly machines. Half of the investment costs (PLN 12 million) were financed from EU funds under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme.

Today Wojas S.A. is one of the largest and most respected Polish shoe manufacturers, with a network of almost 150 branded stores in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belarus, and annually produces several hundred thousand pairs of shoes. The company's offer includes elegant leather shoes for women and men, youth models and trekking shoes. The offer is complemented by leather goods - bags, briefcases and belts. Part of the production is exported and sent to special services - for several years Wojas has been supplying specialized footwear for the army, fire department, border guard, Polish post office, forestry and transport services.
