Shoe Size Checker
If you want to ruin your life, put on tight, uncomfortable shoes. It is not for nothing that the main selection criterion is the shoe size, if it is not chosen correctly, then even the most wonderful day will turn into a serious test for nerves and health. Narrow tight shoes, or too spacious, which fall off your feet with every step - this is not a problem if you choose the right shoe size.
What time of day to buy shoes
You may have noticed many times that by the evening your legs get tired and your shoes start to squeeze incredibly. The peculiarities of the body are such that by the evening the legs swell slightly even in perfectly healthy people, especially if you have spent the whole day running about on business. The difference can be a whole size, and it's no wonder the shoes are tight. If you buy shoes in the morning, and they are perfect in size, then by the evening you can not be surprised at discomfort. The same can be said about shoes bought in the evening - fitting is done on already swollen feet, and then in the morning you will be surprised to find that the shoes are uncritical, but still too big.
That is why it is best to buy shoes and other shoes in the middle of the day, especially when it comes to non-adjustable models without straps. In this case, you will correctly determine the size that corresponds to your average condition, not right out of bed, and not at the end of the working day.
How to choose a shoe size for your foot
The most basic parameter is, of course, the length of the foot - this is what it means when the size is written. The length of the foot is measured from the tip of the big toe through the middle of the heel to the end. When trying on, it is enough to know your approximate size, especially if you take into account the difference in dimensional nets for each individual manufacturer. Shoes of exactly the same size can have a tag with the prescribed size 37 and 39. The so-called "small size" and "large size" are the scourge of all shoe sellers.
Pay attention to the marketing ploy - the smallest available size is usually put on the shop window so that the buyer has the feeling that the foot will look just as elegant in shoes of this particular model.
Foot width and instep features
In order for the help of a consultant, if you, of course, need it, to be most effective, it is worth immediately mentioning the width of the foot and the height of the lift. For example: "shoes size 37, narrow feet with a high rise." When choosing a shoe size, these parameters can be key - a number of models that are ideal for your foot length will be completely unsuitable for the width and height of the rise.
This problem is partially alleviated if you buy shoes with laces or with adjustable straps that allow you to adjust the width. If the model does not allow this, then the selection of shoes will have to be paid even more attention than usual.
How to choose a shoe size in the "off season"
Buying shoes in the off-season is a great way to save money, in summer there are great discounts on winter shoes, and in winter - on sandals, sandals and light shoes. Depending on the chosen model, fitting and sizing is carried out taking into account seasonal characteristics. Of course, buying warm boots or boots is impossible without trying on a warm sock. That is, you choose the shoe size exactly the way you plan to wear these shoes.
Take with you the socks with which you plan to wear the shoes of your choice, or dress in such a way that you can take off your shoes to your bare feet if you buy sandals for the beach in the midst of blizzard February.
How to choose a shoe size for a child
The vast majority of shoes for children are made taking into account the characteristics of children's feet, that is, adjustable in width. That is why you can determine the size without the child with you, that is, without trying on. To buy, you need to circle the child's foot with a pen on a sheet of thick cardboard, cut it out and carry it with you. Such a rigid insole may well serve as a fitting object. However, be careful when choosing a model - if it is not adjustable in width, this method of sizing does not guarantee a good result.
Several rules for determining shoe size
When determining the size of the shoe, the “index finger rule” may apply - if you push the foot into the toe of the shoe as much as possible, then you can squeeze the index finger between the heel and the back. This rule does not work for model ladies' shoes, for sneakers and for sandals.
Another simple rule of thumb for shoe sizing is that you wear any shoe with walking in mind, not just looking nice. So put on the pair you like and go for a walk. That is why it is best to buy shoes in stores, not in the market - in a good store, no one will object to the fact that you walk and try how much these shoes are on your feet. If these test five minutes did not make you unpleasant, then the size is selected correctly, you can buy.
To determine the size of the foot, do 6 steps:
➀ Place the printed sheet of paper on the floor and place put your foot on it. The heel must be leaning against the wall;
➁ Draw a view of your foot;

➂ Do the same with the second leg;
➃ Measure the length of the foot from the end of the heel to the longest toe in centimeters on both feet;

➄ We recommend that you always buy shoes with the larger foot size;
➅ Add another 0.5-1.5 cm of space.
